Terwase Hembaor-Gbande is a visionary digital strategist and transformative business leader serving as the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Benue Digital Infrastructure Company PLC (BDIC). With over 20 years of experience across digital innovation, public sector reform, and enterprise development, he is a prominent voice in Nigeria’s digital transformation space.
A graduate of Political Science (B.Sc., M.Sc.) from Benue State University, he also holds a National Diploma in Computer Science, PGDM, and is pursuing both an MBA and a Ph.D in Political Economy. Terwase began his professional journey as the founder of Gamint Corporate Ltd, delivering smart card, biometric, and software solutions. He consulted for key public institutions like the Benue State Internal Revenue Service, Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, and others, driving technology-enabled reforms.
Appointed in 2024 to lead BDIC, Terwase is spearheading the Digital Benue Initiative—a strategy focused on digital infrastructure, education, innovation, and job creation. Under his leadership, BDIC has formed strategic partnerships with top ICT players, launched digital products, secured regulatory licenses, and established the E-Governance and Technology Study Center to modernize public service delivery
A former student leader and youth advocate, he has been recognized for his contributions to technology, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance. Today, Terwase stands at the forefront of subnational digital transformation in Africa, embodying the power of vision, integrity, and purpose-driven innovation.
Engineer Michael Idu holds a Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering and a Masters Degree in Information Technology.
After the completion of his undergraduate studies in 2007, he is being involved in the development of ICT solutions and mentoring the next generation of ICT experts. He is a member of the Benue State ICT council and a one time Benue State ICT Consultant.
2Msughter Gyanggyang Ierve is a dynamic and versatile leader with over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology and management. A seasoned information technology professional, he brings deep expertise in product management, agile project leadership, data analytics, business analysis, and enterprise business solutions. His impactful career spans the finance, oil & gas, and IT consulting sectors, where he has consistently driven operational excellence, digital innovation, and large-scale transformation.
Since 2024, he has served as the Head of Administration and Human Resources at Benue Digital Infrastructure Company Plc (BDIC), where he provides strategic leadership across organizational planning, personnel development, and financial oversight. Prior to this role, Mr. Gyanggyang played a central role in advancing ICT infrastructure and digital education across Benue State through the Benue State e-Learning/Virtual Education ICT Resource Centre (BESEVIC).
Earlier in his career, he delivered results at Digital Bananas Technology by managing project portfolios and leading seamless execution of complex digital initiatives. At Matt O’Bell Limited, he was instrumental in optimizing business processes and implementing high-impact projects that strengthened service delivery in both public and private sectors.
Renowned for his strategic foresight, stakeholder engagement, and technical acumen, Msughter Gyanggyang Ierve continues to be a driving force in digital transformation and administrative excellence across Nigeria’s evolving digital landscape.
Gabriel Onyedikachi Nwankwo is a seasoned Software Engineer, Systems Architect, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Data Scientist, and Systems Security Expert. He currently serves as Group Head, Software Development and Quality Assurance at Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC).
He leads cross-functional teams in building enterprise-grade digital solutions for both government and private sector stakeholders. Before joining BDIC, Gabriel served as Chief Technical Officer at GistHouse Inc., Omaha, USA, where he led a full-scale architectural transformation that significantly improved system resilience and user experience. Prior to that, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Netpreneur360, a U.S.-based IT firm, where he contributed to scalable software solutions for global clients. He also worked as an IT Consultant for Gamint Corporate Ltd., facilitating a UNICEF partnership for an e-learning initiative and developing fraud detection systems for the Benue State Government. Gabriel holds a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and is deeply committed to technological innovation, digital transformation, and capacity building through mentorship and leadership.
He is currently focused on advancing the adoption of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) to drive future-ready solutions across sectors.
