BDIC and BENGIS Collaborate to Implement a Fully Digital Land Processing Portal in Benue State
In line with the vision of the Benue State Government to modernize land administration and enhance service delivery, the MD/CEO of Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) Gbande-Hembaor Terwase is working closely with the Benue State Geographic Information Systems (BENGIS) and the Ministry of Lands and Survey to implement a comprehensive Electronic Land Document Management System (Online Land Processing Portal).
This initiative is designed to ensure that land transactions and title processing can be conducted securely, efficiently, and entirely online, enabling applicants to track their progress in real-time.
This digital transformation aligns with global best practices in land administration, ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the processing of land title documents.
Under the leadership and directive of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Executive Governor of Benue State, the state is committed to ensuring that land title applications are processed and finalized within 60 to 90 days, a significant improvement over previous timelines.
To advance this initiative, the Managing Director/CEO of BDIC Gbande-Hembaor Terwase recently held a strategic brainstorming session with the leadership of BENGIS, led by Engr. Prof. Amine Daniel, along with key officials from the Ministry of Lands and Survey.
The discussions centered on the design and implementation of a user-friendly, fully automated online platform that will streamline public access to land services, reduce bureaucratic delays, and enhance the security of land records.
By leveraging technology to digitize and automate land processing, Benue State is setting a new standard in efficient land administration. This initiative reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to ease Seamless connectivity of doing business, digital governance, and improved service delivery for all residents and investors in the state.
