BDIC Empowers Benue Civil Service with Practical Skills for Mandatory Digitization
The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company PLC (BDIC) has concluded a two-day capacity building workshop for staff of the Office of the Head of Service, Benue State, focused on the implementation of the Mandatory Digitization Policy across the state civil service. The training, held in Makurdi, equipped participants with practical digital skills essential for automating administrative processes and improving service delivery.
Speaking at the closing session, the Managing Director/CEO of BDIC, Mr. Gbande Hembaor Terwase, described the initiative as a strategic step in realizing the vision of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia, to build a digitally driven and efficient public sector. He noted that digitization remains central to achieving transparency, accountability, and innovation in governance.
The Head of Service, Mr Moses Agbogbo Ode PhD commended BDIC for its leadership and commitment to digital transformation, describing the training as timely and impactful. He emphasized that the skills acquired would enhance workflow automation, data management, and overall administrative efficiency across ministries, departments, and agencies.
The Mandatory Digitization Initiative, jointly driven by BDIC and the Office of the Head of Service, is part of a broader effort to transform Benue State into a model of e-governance and digital excellence. The program underscores the Alia-led administration’s resolve to make digital literacy and technology adoption a cornerstone of public sector reform.
