The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) has commenced the training of staff of the Benue State Digital Infrastructure Services Management Enforcement Agency (BENDISMEA) following the deployment and formal handover of newly developed Benue Digital Platforms aimed at strengthening enforcement and improving compliance across the state.
The initiative marks another significant milestone in Benue State’s ongoing digital transformation drive. The digital solutions, developed and deployed by BDIC, are designed to enhance transparency, operational efficiency, accountability and real-time monitoring of revenue and compliance processes across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Speaking on the development, the GMD/CEO of BDIC, Gbande Hembaor Terwase, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to building secure, scalable and standard digital infrastructure that will position Benue as a fully integrated digital economy. He emphasized that BDIC’s mandate extends beyond deployment, noting that continuous support, system upgrades and innovation remain central to ensuring long-term impact.
On the enforcement front, BENDISMEA, under the leadership of Solomon Terkimbi Adagba, is statutorily responsible for ensuring compliance across all MDAs. With the introduction of the new digital enforcement tools, the agency is now better equipped to carry out its oversight functions, ensuring that digital infrastructure policies and revenue compliance frameworks are effectively implemented statewide.
The development has also been attributed to the visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whose administration continues to prioritize innovation and technology-driven governance. His commitment to digital transformation is laying a strong foundation for improved service delivery, sustainable growth and economic expansion in the state.
As Benue advances toward a fully digital ecosystem, BDIC and BENDISMEA say they remain resolute in building smarter systems, empowering institutions and driving the state toward a more transparent, efficient and digitally enabled future.
