The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) was proud to participate as a partner at the Makurdi Tech Fest 3.0, organized by Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, under the theme “Innovate Locally, Impact Globally.”
The event brought together innovators, students, startups, and technology enthusiasts from across Benue State and beyond to explore how creativity, innovation, and digital skills can drive inclusive development.
Representing the Managing Director/CEO of BDIC Hon. Gbande Hembaor Terwase-AFCPN, Mr. Shirgba Karkaa Joel, Unit Head of Innovative Solutions, delivered the opening remarks. In his address, he emphasized BDIC’s ongoing commitment to building a Digital Benue where technology becomes a tool for empowerment, opportunity, and transformation. He also highlighted BDIC’s flagship initiative — “One Student, One Computer, One Skill” — a program designed to ensure that every student in Benue State has access to the digital tools and skills necessary to thrive in the modern economy.
In his capacity as the Group Head, Startup Support, Innovative Solutions, and Partnerships, Mr. Solomon Kershima Yateghtegh introduced the BDIC team as partners at the event and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting young innovators, entrepreneurs, and creators across Benue. He further reiterated BDIC’s commitment to fostering collaboration between the government, academia, and the private sector to strengthen the state’s innovation ecosystem.The Tech Fest featured engaging keynote presentations, innovation showcases, and breakout sessions that provided a platform for students to present their ideas and projects. Participants shared inspiring solutions to local challenges, demonstrating the immense potential of Benue’s young innovators when given the right support and exposure.
Makurdi Tech Fest 3.0 once again highlighted the critical role of academic institutions in nurturing digital creativity and reaffirmed BDIC’s role as a key driver in Benue State’s digital transformation journey.
