The Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) is pleased to report significant progress in the collaborative efforts toward the full establishment of the Benue Youth Help Desk, a flagship youth-focused initiative of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Creativity.
Following a recent technical and strategic review meeting held at the BDIC Headquarters, led by the Head of Corporate Services, Engr Michael Idu, substantial progress was recorded on the development of the official Benue Youth Help Desk digital platform, with the website now approximately 65% completed. This milestone underscores BDIC’s mandate to design, deploy, and support scalable digital public infrastructure that enables inclusive governance and youth empowerment in Benue State.
The Benue Youth Help Desk is being developed as a centralised, technology-driven support platform to improve youth access to information, opportunities, government services, and engagement mechanisms. When fully deployed, the platform will serve as a critical digital interface connecting young people in Benue State to programmes, interventions, and innovation opportunities under the Ministry.
BDIC respectfully acknowledges the visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whose administration continues to prioritise youth development, innovation, and digital transformation as key pillars of sustainable growth.
We also commend the Honourable Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya, for his strategic direction and policy support, as well as the GMD/CEO of BDIC, Mr. Gbande Hembaor Terwase, for providing institutional leadership and technical oversight to ensure the successful delivery of this initiative.
BDIC remains committed to working closely with the Ministry and the Benue Youth Help Desk coordination team, led by Mrs. Kyoive Deborah, to deliver a robust, secure, and youth-centric digital solution that will positively impact young people across the state.
This initiative reaffirms BDIC’s role as the State’s digital infrastructure backbone, enabling government ministries, departments, and agencies to translate policy objectives into practical, technology-enabled outcomes for citizens particularly the youth.
