The Group Managing Director/CEO of Benue Digital Infrastructure Company Ltd (BDIC) and President/CEO of the Africa Digital Infrastructure Company (AfDIC), Gbande-Hembaor Terwase AFCPN, had today received the implementation team of the Benue State Youth Helpdesk in his office.
The delegation, led by Mrs. Deborah Nguseer Kyoive and Mr. Terhemba Civir, visited on the directives of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creative Economy to strengthen collaboration on integrating Benue youth into the State’s digital transformation agenda.
During the engagement, both parties explored strategic areas of synergy that will ensure young people are meaningfully factored into the Benue State Digital Journey. The discussions focused on creating sustainable pathways for youth participation in technology-driven development, innovation ecosystems, and modern digital services that support long-term social and economic empowerment.
A key highlight of the meeting was the proposed establishment of a Benue Youth Support Portal, designed to provide access to opportunities, digital tools, mentorship, and government-driven empowerment programmes.
The team also deliberated on the coordination and mobilization of young people across all local government areas to participate in the training of 23,000 youth, scheduled to commence in January 2026, under BDIC’s digital skills expansion initiative.
This collaborative effort aligns fully with the vision of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Executive Governor of Benue State, who is committed to ensuring total youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and the global competitiveness of Benue youth.
BDIC and AfDIC reaffirm their readiness to work with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Creative Economy and the Youth Helpdesk team to integrate Benue youth into national and international development opportunities through shared ICT infrastructure, digital skills acceleration, and innovation-driven growth.
