Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC)/ AfDIC, under the leadership of its Managing Director/CEO, Gbande-Hembaor Terwase, AFCPN, has signed a landmark strategic partnership with the Benue State Public Service Institute (BPSI), Makurdi, led by the Director General, Prof. Terkura Tarnande.
This partnership establishes the Benue State E-Governance and Digital Economy Study Centre and the Benue State ICT Centre for People With Disabilities, alongside the deployment of modern digital infrastructure across the Institute.
The initiative deepens the long-standing collaboration between BDIC and BPSI, under which BDIC has already trained over 10,000 civil servants as part of the ongoing 40,000 civil servants digital governance capacity development programme, empowering the state workforce with essential skills in digital governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and digital literacy.
The establishment of the E-Governance and Digital Economy Study Centre will provide a world-class learning environment where public servants can continuously upskill in data-driven decision-making, digital service delivery, cyber awareness, and modern governance tools.
This centre strengthens the commitment to building a digitally competent workforce capable of driving reforms, improving service delivery, and supporting Benue State’s transition into a resilient and innovative digital public administration ecosystem.
Similarly, the Benue State ICT Centre for People With Disabilities demonstrates the administration’s dedication to inclusive digital development. The centre will empower persons with disabilities with digital skills, access to assistive technologies, and pathways to economic participation. By integrating specialized ICT training and inclusive infrastructure, the project guarantees that no group is excluded in the state’s digital advancement, promoting equality and broad-based empowerment.
These transformative developments directly align with the digital economy and e-government modernization agenda of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
Through BDIC’s strategic vision and reinforced partnership with BPSI, Benue State is modernizing its institutions, building a digitally skilled civil service, strengthening public sector efficiency, and promoting inclusive innovation.
This collaboration positions Benue as a leading state in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey, one committed to sustainable economic growth, improved governance, and digital opportunities for every citizen.
